The Story Behind Navajo Pearls
Originally known as “Hogan Beads”,
today they are widely called “Navajo Pearls”
for their beautiful pearl-like appearance.
A Hogan is the traditional home of the Navajo People.
Its entrance faces east to welcome the rising sun,
a symbol of blessings and new beginnings.
Inspired by the Hogan,
Navajo Pearls have been passed down through generations
as jewelry believed to carry sacred power.

そう呼ばれるようになりました
本来の名は「ホーガンビーズ」といい
何世代にも渡り受け継がれてきた
ナバホ族の伝統的なシルバージュエリーです
「ホーガン」とはナバホ族の伝統的な住居のことで
入り口は神聖な東を向き母なる大地と父なる空を繋ぐ
神聖な場所とされています
ナバホパールはそのホーガンを象ったもので
同じように神聖な力が宿ると信じられています
